1. Information We Collect

Commander Royale collects the following information to provide its service:

  • Account Information: Email address, username, and password (encrypted)
  • Game Data: Commander decks, territories, game statistics, and player interactions
  • Settings: Theme preferences and accessibility settings (stored locally in your browser)

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and maintain the Commander Royale game service
  • To authenticate your account and secure your data
  • To display your game progress, territories, and commander information
  • To enable multiplayer functionality and leaderboards
  • To improve the application based on usage and feedback

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored using Supabase (a secure, open-source Firebase alternative). We use industry-standard security practices including:

  • Encrypted password storage
  • Secure HTTPS connections
  • Row-level security policies to protect your data

4. We Do Not Sell Your Data

Your privacy is important to us. We want to be clear:

  • We do NOT sell your personal information to third parties
  • We do NOT share your data with advertisers or data brokers
  • We do NOT use your data for marketing purposes outside of this application
  • We do NOT track you across other websites or services

Your data is used solely to provide the Commander Royale gaming experience and is never monetized or sold.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Supabase: Database and authentication (stores your account and game data)
  • Scryfall: MTG card data and images (no personal data shared)
  • Google OAuth: Optional sign-in provider — only your email and display name are shared if you choose to sign in with Google
  • Vercel Analytics & Speed Insights: Anonymous, aggregated performance and usage metrics (no personally identifiable information collected)
  • Sentry: Error monitoring — captures application errors to help us fix bugs; no personally identifiable information is intentionally included in error reports

6. Cookies and Local Storage

We use browser local storage to save your theme preferences and accessibility settings. These are stored only on your device and are not transmitted to our servers.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Request deletion of your account and data
  • Modify your account information
  • Opt-out of data collection (by not using the service)
  • Request a copy of your data

8. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal information will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days. Aggregated, anonymized statistics may be retained for analytical purposes.
